This is a no-cost training program for people interested in palliative care volunteering. The course is about 16 to 18 hours over 8 modules, covering topics like effective communication skills, family dynamics, grief and bereavement, and volunteer self-care. There is no requirement to volunteer after taking the training, but it is a prerequisite for anyone who wants to become a Palliative Care Companion.
